Position Summary:
As a contributing team member of the Deans Office, provides exemplary executive support to the College of Education and Human Services and its faculty, staff, students, alumni, and external constituents.
The position is responsible for complex and varied duties that support both the daily operations and mission of the College.
Required Qualifications:High school diploma or GED.
Three years of qualifying experience or a combination of education and experience that equates to three years.
Experience with Microsoft Word, and Excel.
Customer service experience.
Organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to project a positive attitude.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with accurate results.
Ability to compose, proofread and edit correspondence.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates/Bachelors degree.
Demonstrated proficiency in Office 365, Internet, and CentralLink.
Advanced skills and resourcefulness related to data collection and reporting using University databases such as SAP and Data Warehouse.
Demonstrated willingness to further develop skillset for personal professional growth and in support of organizational growth.Exhibits a commitment to CMUs leadership standards, service excellence, and diversity/inclusion initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to a changing environment.
Established experience with the University curricular process.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for performing complex and varied supportive duties for Deans Office administrative staff.
Executes monthly audit of ancillary operating and discretionary cost centers managed by the Deans Office.
Provides exemplary support to faculty, staff, students, and visitors of the College.
Shares in providing coverage and customer service for the Deans Office.
Contributes to creating and fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Performs financial transactions for the Deans Office including fund transfers/parked documents, invoice vouchers, and other routine functions.
Oversees office supply inventory and initiates purchases as needed.
Assists in conducting the annual equipment inventory.
Provides supplemental supervision of student employees.
Oversees the reservations and maintenance of college vehicle and issuance of guest parking permits.
Coordinates and serves on committees as assigned.
Provides assistance to the Associate Dean in the scheduling of courses as prescribed by the University academic calendar (cyclical).
Shares responsibility for the management of meeting spaces within EHS.Uses organizational skills in the successful tracking and processing of college-level awards and scholarships (cyclical).
Provides continuous data entry for Global Campus teaching assignments using database.
Coordinates building key assignments.
Engages with peers and colleagues across the university to foster communication, shared learning, information gathering, and problem solving.
Exercises initiative and independent critical problem-solving skills in the execution of duties and responsibilities.
Collaborates with members of the team to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness of College procedures utilizing regular review and updates.
