RESPONSIBILITIES:The role of the Sales Support Specialist is vital within our Fitech by Deluxe division, focusing on the support and retention of our valued customers.
- Develop and implement strategies to retain existing merchants.
- Handle escalated issues that may arise.
- Make informed decisions regarding pricing structures, refunds, account closures, early termination fees, and contract renewals.
- This dynamic team member will engage with business clients through virtual meetings and occasional in-person interactions.
- Address various concerns including pricing, service quality, equipment orders, training, and contract negotiations.
- Execute customer service retention initiatives to support our current merchant clientele.
- Maintain an active pipeline of merchant retention efforts and service-related issues.
- Analyze merchant statements and provide clarifications as needed.
- Offer pricing quotes and conduct rate reviews to enhance retention strategies.
- Ensure the completion and submission of necessary paperwork while coordinating merchant implementation and training.
- Track and follow up on merchant issues arising from escalations and surveys.
- Explain industry-related topics such as PCI compliance and fees.
- Education and Experience: High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant experience; or an Associate's Degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Experience in the banking sector.
