Job Overview

Position Title: Production Line Supervisor - Stock Management

Role Summary:

  • The main objective of this role is to achieve or surpass the organization's safety, quality, and cost targets.
  • Accountable for coordinating and executing all safety initiatives within the division to ensure a workplace free from injuries.
  • Responsible for the effective training, motivation, and oversight of the team, which includes 1 Process Foreman, 2 Hourly Production Foremen, 6 hourly supervisors, and around 33 production staff.
  • Direct the operations of the Stock Management and #3 Wetfelt Board Line Departments, focusing on safety, quality, efficiency, cleanliness, and training. Collaborate with other plant functions regarding personnel, equipment, materials, inventory levels, production processes, and capital enhancements to ensure products are produced to meet customer needs.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives through CI/Lean, CIC, and Tech Services, acting as the process owner, and drive operational enhancements utilizing the Reliability Performance Model for all equipment to meet efficiency goals.
  • Make recommendations regarding hiring, promotions, transfers, rate adjustments, layoffs, and disciplinary actions for employees within the department. Ensure consistent application of company policies and practices.
  • Enhance employee engagement by implementing strategic directions with a strong emphasis on effective communication and employee relations throughout the department.
  • Plan and collaborate with reliability and engineering teams on all non-routine maintenance and capital improvement strategies for operations. Implement suitable cost reduction and efficiency enhancement measures.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, along with prior experience in a managerial role.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, communication (both verbal and written), decision-making, and employee relations skills within a diverse workforce environment. Ability to connect with individuals at all organizational levels and work collaboratively to achieve shared objectives.
  • Establish operational excellence with exceptional organizational skills and the capability to prioritize tasks effectively while implementing Best-In-Class work practices.
  • A business-oriented leader focused on results, with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service. A self-starter with excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting general or technical procedures or regulations.
  • Skilled in coaching employees for optimal performance.
  • Proven ability to operate within a planned budget and manage costs within established targets.

Compensation: Salary Range: $87,240-$116,280
Salary may be adjusted based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
