Position Summary:
As a Production Team Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in leading a skilled workforce to achieve operational objectives and enhance productivity. This position requires a proactive approach to team management and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide and support a team of employees, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and project requirements.
- Coordinate projects in collaboration with other departments, providing direction based on product specifications and quality standards.
- Foster a collaborative team environment while exercising autonomy in decision-making.
- Mentor and develop less experienced team members through effective coaching.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives utilizing ITW's 80/20 Tools to optimize workflows.
- Adjust daily schedules to meet production targets and respond to quality concerns promptly.
- Monitor team performance and attendance, addressing any issues with management.
- Oversee inventory levels and communicate supply needs to ensure operational efficiency.
- Develop and execute training programs for new hires, tracking their progress and providing feedback.
- Maintain a safe and organized workspace, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and participating in incident investigations as necessary.
- Engage in team meetings to contribute to process enhancements and quality improvements.
- Promote a respectful workplace culture that values diversity and encourages individual contributions towards business success.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively across functions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage workloads.
- Capable of identifying problems, analyzing root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
- Experience in driving sustainable results through continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Willingness to step in for department supervisors as needed.
