Key Responsibilities:- Guide a team of skilled professionals, translating directives from departmental leadership to achieve organizational objectives and project goals.
- Oversee projects in collaboration with the broader department, providing direction to the team based on customer and product specifications to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Function autonomously while fostering collaboration within a team setting.
- Provide training, mentorship, and coaching to less experienced team members.
- Promote continuous improvement by employing ITW 80/20 Tools to optimize processes and workflows.
- Adjust daily schedules to meet weekly production targets.
- Identify and address quality concerns on the production lines, engaging Supervisors for any emerging trends.
- Monitor team performance and attendance, alerting Supervisors to any issues.
- Keep track of inventory levels for departmental needs, notifying Supervisors of any supply shortages.
- Develop and implement training schedules for new hires, tracking their progress and communicating updates to Supervisors.
- Ensure a clean and organized workspace, verifying that all team members adhere to safety protocols and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Participate in safety incident investigations as necessary.
- Engage in team and task group meetings to foster continuous improvement in processes, methods, productivity, and quality.
- Contribute to a respectful environment where all team members are valued for their unique perspectives and motivated to enhance their contributions to achieve business objectives.
Essential Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate's Degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to influence and lead teams while collaborating effectively across functions to meet individual and team objectives.
- Capability to guide a team in achieving set organizational goals and driving project success.
- Experience working within established health, safety, and quality guidelines.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in problem-solving, including identifying root causes and developing corrective action plans.
- Demonstrated success in leading and achieving sustainable results through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to nurture talent through coaching and mentoring to inspire others to excel.
- Effectively applies ITW Toolbox and project management best practices in all tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization abilities.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
- Willingness to step in for department Supervisors as needed.
