Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guide a team of skilled personnel, effectively communicating directives from the departmental leadership to achieve organizational objectives and project goals.
  • Oversee projects in collaboration with the broader department, providing team guidance based on customer and product specifications to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Operate independently while fostering collaboration within a team setting.
  • Instruct, mentor, and support less experienced team members.
  • Promote continuous improvement by applying ITW 80/20 Tools to enhance processes and procedures.
  • Adjust daily schedules to meet weekly production targets.
  • Identify and address quality concerns on production lines, involving supervisors as necessary for any emerging trends.
  • Monitor team performance and attendance, promptly notifying supervisors of any issues.
  • Keep track of inventory levels pertinent to departmental needs and inform supervisors of any supply gaps.
  • Develop and implement training schedules for new hires, track their progress, and communicate updates to supervisors.
  • Ensure a clean and organized workspace, verifying that all team members adhere to safety protocols and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Participate in safety incident investigations as required.
  • Engage in team and task group meetings to foster ongoing improvements in processes, methods, productivity, and quality.
  • Contribute to a respectful environment that values individual differences and motivates all team members to enhance their contributions toward achieving business objectives.
Qualifications

Essential Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate's Degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to influence and lead teams while collaborating effectively on cross-functional initiatives, consistently achieving individual objectives.
  • Capability to guide a team in meeting established organizational goals and driving project success.
  • Experience working within defined health, safety, and quality guidelines.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage workload and meet deadlines.
  • Aptitude for problem-solving, including identifying root causes and developing corrective action plans.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and achieving sustainable results through continuous improvement initiatives and the ITW Toolbox.
  • Ability to nurture talent through coaching and mentoring, inspiring others to excel.
  • Proficient in applying ITW Toolbox and project management best practices in all tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization abilities.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
  • Willingness to fill in for the department supervisor when necessary.
