The Account Strategy Team operates within our Revenue Operations division, focusing on executing advertising initiatives and enhancing our advertising platform. This team, distributed across the US and UK, strives to earn the trust of colleagues and internal partners daily, prioritizes customer satisfaction by emphasizing campaign effectiveness, takes ownership of a substantial portfolio, and contributes to community growth through knowledge sharing and training. Ultimately, our goal is to ensure the success of our clients.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As an Account Strategist, you will collaborate closely with your teammates, Account Managers (AM), Client Partners (CP), and the product team. You will play a vital role in developing and executing campaigns, as well as optimizing and analyzing performance throughout and after the campaign. Daily tasks include constructing and managing direct-sold campaigns, assisting with self-service campaigns, collaborating with cross-functional partners, optimizing for client performance objectives, and addressing any issues that arise. Your Key Responsibilities Include:
- Design, launch, quality assure, and optimize advertising campaigns.
- Monitor and resolve campaign-related challenges; test and troubleshoot new advertising products.
- Experiment and adapt swiftly. Utilize creative problem-solving skills and both internal and external data to enhance campaigns toward client performance targets (such as CTR, CPA, ROAS, ROI).
- Analyze data using statistical tools; translate complex data and findings into clear tables, graphs, and written reports.
- Demonstrate flexibility and readiness to handle various operational tasks and advertiser requests.
- Ensure quality control across all campaigns by collaborating with Account Management to verify material accuracy, implementing a structured QA system, and facilitating smooth pre-launch communication between teams.
- Proactively seek opportunities for process improvement, take initiative to conduct tests, and experiment.
- Engage in in-person Nextdoor events, training sessions, team-building activities, and volunteer days.
- Foster in-person relationships with team members and contribute to the KIND culture that Nextdoor values.
- Approximately 2 years of experience in ad operations, campaign management, optimization strategy, project management, or a related operational role.
- Experience managing campaigns with awareness and performance objectives, along with the ability to leverage client data for optimization.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume, and deadline-oriented environment.
- Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
- An inquisitive and analytical mindset.
- Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Confidence in sharing feedback and perspectives; good ideas can emerge from anywhere.
- A passion for community engagement, promoting inclusivity within the team and diversity of thought, both at Nextdoor and in your local neighborhoods.
- Experience managing programmatic campaigns.
Nextdoor offers a comprehensive rewards package that includes compensation, benefits, perks, and recognition programs.
The compensation range for this position consists of a base salary plus a commission structure with an 80/20 split. Commission will vary based on the achievement of sales-related goals and objectives. The anticipated OTE (on-target earnings) inclusive of base salary and commission is between $88,000 and $115,000 annually, with potential for higher earnings based on proficiency levels.
We also anticipate providing a significant equity grant for this role, with equal quarterly vesting, starting within the first three months of employment.
Overall, total compensation will vary based on relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
