Position Overview:

The Clinical Laboratory Specialist plays a crucial role in the healthcare team, assisting in the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of patient health through the application of technical and scientific expertise.

This role is responsible for the precise and timely execution of laboratory analyses. The Clinical Laboratory Specialist evaluates and communicates test outcomes while ensuring adherence to all regulatory standards, contributing to the quality of a World-Class Laboratory.

Exceptional customer service skills are essential, aligning with Mercy's commitment to service excellence in all interactions with both internal and external stakeholders.


Qualifications:

Education:
Associate degree required. Certifications: MLT certification OR Bachelor's degree in a relevant field that meets certification agency requirements OR completion of a 50-week U.S. military medical laboratory training course.

Preferred Education:
Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Preferred Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical laboratory experience.

Preferred Certifications:
MT/MLS (ASCP) or equivalent.
