We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist II to join our team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. This is a full-time position that will primarily work Monday to Friday day shift, with some rotating responsibilities.

About the Role

The Clinical Pharmacist II will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication management in the ICU. This will involve providing pharmaceutical care, consulting on medication regimens, and participating in educational programs to enhance patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize medication therapy and improve patient care
  • Provide pharmaceutical care to patients in the ICU, including medication therapy management and monitoring
  • Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals on medication-related issues
  • Participate in educational programs to enhance knowledge and skills in pharmaceutical care
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution
  • PGY-1 or 3 years of direct patient care experience in a hospital setting
  • PHARMD - Licensed Pharmacist in Washington, DC
  • Board certification within 1 year of eligibility
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills

Compensation

This position has a hiring range of $118,331 - $218,171.
