About the Role

The Senior Sales Director is a key member of the Hyatt Hotels Corporation team, responsible for leading the sales staff and managing select key accounts. This is a senior-level hotel sales role that reports directly to the Director of Sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mentor and train sales staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Recruit and hire sales staff, ensuring that the team has the right mix of skills and experience.
  • Lead sales meetings and work with catering and convention services to ensure that events are successful and profitable.
  • Be involved in the annual business plan process, forecasting, and P&L management.
  • Represent the company at owners meetings, tradeshows, and other business events.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and improve sales performance.
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales to ensure that the sales team is aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3-5 years previous sales experience, with a proven track record of success in a senior sales role.
  • Proficient in general computer knowledge, including sales software and systems.
  • Supervisory experience, with the ability to train and monitor the process of sending referrals, setting traces, and profiling accounts.
  • Excellent customer relations, communication, presentation, and organization skills.
