Role Overview:

This full-time position involves hands-on responsibilities that support the company's landscape services for various public and private clients. The Landscape Procurement Specialist will oversee the creation of Purchase Orders related to job costs and manage the procurement of bulk materials for maintenance and snow removal operations. Establishing strong relationships with vendors to secure optimal pricing for materials and supplies is essential.

Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary administrator for all landscaping, maintenance, and irrigation projects.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Foremen, and Designers to ensure timely delivery of necessary materials, equipment, and supplies to project sites.
  • Generate and manage purchase orders for the landscaping, maintenance, and irrigation divisions.
  • Conduct reconciliations for all purchase orders, invoices, quotes, and estimates.
  • Collect and verify packing slips and receipts for accuracy and completeness.
  • Compile project documentation and maintain organized project books.
  • Process invoices for job-related expenses, approve payments, and liaise with the accounting department.
  • Engage with vendors to gather information regarding products or services, including pricing, availability, and delivery timelines.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to assess project needs, review bid proposals, and negotiate contracts within budgetary constraints.
  • Maintain organized records of procurement activities, including purchases, costs, delivery, and inventory.
  • Work alongside the Facilities Manager to manage DOT files for employees and fleet operations.
  • Assist with additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience is required.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and business acumen skills.

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
