Role Highlights:

This full-time position involves hands-on responsibilities that support the company's landscape services for a diverse clientele, including both public and private sectors. The Procurement Specialist will be tasked with generating all Purchase Orders related to project costs and will oversee the procurement of bulk materials for maintenance and snow removal operations. Establishing effective communication and relationships with vendors to secure optimal pricing for materials and supplies is essential.

Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary administrator for all landscaping, maintenance, and irrigation projects.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Foremen, and Designers to ensure timely delivery of necessary materials, equipment, and tools to project sites.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders for the landscaping, maintenance, and irrigation divisions.
  • Conduct reconciliations for all purchase orders, invoices, quotes, and estimates.
  • Gather and verify all packing slips and receipts for accuracy and completeness.
  • Compile project documentation, including client sub-packets and other required materials.
  • Input all invoices related to job expenses, approve them for payment, and forward to the accounting department.
  • Engage with vendors to acquire information regarding products or services, including pricing, availability, and delivery timelines.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to assess project needs, update records with necessary information, review bid proposals, and negotiate contracts within budgetary constraints.
  • Maintain organized records of procurement activities, including purchased items, costs, delivery schedules, product quality, and inventory.
  • Work with the Facilities Manager to oversee and maintain DOT files for employees and fleet management.
  • Assist with additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience is required.

Specialized Skills:

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Google Sheets.

  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and business acumen skills.

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
