Role Overview:

This is a full-time, hands-on position focused on supporting the company's landscape services for a diverse range of public and private clients. The Landscape Procurement Specialist will be tasked with generating all Purchase Orders related to job costs and will oversee the procurement of bulk materials necessary for maintenance and snow removal operations. Establishing strong relationships with vendors to secure optimal pricing for materials and supplies is essential.

Compensation: $55-65K/year based on qualifications and experience.

Benefits: We provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, sick leave, health and dental insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary administrator for all landscaping, maintenance, and irrigation projects.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Foremen, and Designers to ensure timely delivery of all necessary materials, equipment, and supplies to project sites.
  • Generate and manage purchase orders for the landscaping, maintenance, and irrigation divisions.
  • Conduct reconciliations for all purchase orders, invoices, quotes, and estimates.
  • Collect and verify packing slips and receipts for accuracy and completeness.
  • Compile project documentation and maintain organized project books.
  • Process invoices for job-related expenses, approving them for payment and forwarding to the accounting department.
  • Engage with vendors to gather information regarding products or services, including pricing, availability, and delivery timelines.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to assess project needs, update records with relevant information, review bid proposals, and negotiate contracts within budget constraints.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including items purchased, costs, delivery, and product performance.
  • Work alongside the Facilities Manager to manage and uphold DOT files for employees and fleet.
  • Assist with additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience is necessary.

Specialized Skills:

  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and sound business judgment.

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
