Job Summary

The Director of People and Culture will provide strategic leadership and support to the People and Culture Department, setting the department's vision and strategy, while working collaboratively with their team and internal customers to support the full employee lifecycle from hiring to separation.

This role is a strategic partner with the Executive Director in creating and sustaining a strong People and Culture department that serves as the foundation for Neighborhood House to achieve its mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive people and culture strategy that aligns with the organization's mission and goals
  • Lead and manage the People and Culture team, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design and implement effective employee engagement and retention strategies
  • Develop and manage budgets, programs, and policies related to employee benefits, compensation, and recognition
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior HR role, preferably in a non-profit or social services organization
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective people and culture strategies
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and teams
