Role Summary

Livanta, the largest healthcare quality improvement organization in the United States, is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join its innovative team in Virginia Beach, VA. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in improving the lives and health of Medicare beneficiaries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle and triage beneficiary calls, ensuring timely and accurate responses to their inquiries.
  • Perform case intake, staff the Medicare Helpline, and explain rights and responsibilities to patients covered by the Medicare program.
  • Inform Medicare beneficiaries, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders of QIO activities and responsibilities.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with external and internal customers.
  • Prepare correspondence to physicians, facilities, and other healthcare organizations as needed.
  • Process and maintain medical records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and HITECH regulations.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Two years of customer service experience, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, organize multiple tasks, and collect data.
  • Familiarity with database software programs, such as Microsoft Office.
