Key Responsibilities- Handle and triage beneficiary calls, ensuring timely and accurate responses to their inquiries.
- Perform case intake, staff the Medicare Helpline, and explain rights and responsibilities to patients covered by the Medicare program.
- Inform Medicare beneficiaries, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders of QIO activities and responsibilities.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with external and internal customers.
- Prepare correspondence to physicians, facilities, and other healthcare organizations as needed.
- Process and maintain medical records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and HITECH regulations.
- High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
- Two years of customer service experience, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, organize multiple tasks, and collect data.
- Familiarity with database software programs, such as Microsoft Office.
