Key Responsibilities- Schedule appointments and outpatient procedures under general supervision, coordinating referrals, resources, and pre-authorizations as needed.
- Provide general administrative support for practice operations, including scheduling meetings, preparing correspondence, and maintaining notes/minutes/files.
- Respond to telephone and written inquiries from internal and external sources, such as patients, providers, and insurance companies.
- Employ a high level of initiative and independent judgment to make decisions about prioritization and handling of incoming requests and difficult problems.
- Three years of Clerical, Customer Service experience required.
- One year of experience with Health Insurance Plans, Medical Records Data, Medical Terminology, Registration, Scheduling, or Third Party Payers required.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems preferred.
