POSITION SUMMARY

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will oversee all aspects of recruitment for both clinical and non-clinical roles, implementing effective recruitment strategies. This role is essential in attracting and retaining skilled and motivated professionals to the organization. The Specialist will actively promote the hospital's mission, vision, and values throughout the recruitment process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the complete recruitment cycle for nursing and related clinical/non-clinical positions up to the Director level.
  • Proactively develop and adjust recruitment strategies based on performance metrics.
  • Handle up to 75 job openings simultaneously and successfully close hires throughout the year.
  • Consult with hiring managers to assess needs and formulate effective recruiting strategies.
  • Organize and participate in recruitment events to attract potential candidates.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with candidates through ongoing communication and engagement.
  • Represent the organization at various events, conferences, and professional associations.
  • Create job postings and manage the applicant tracking system (ATS) workflow.
  • Identify and build applicant sources by connecting with community organizations, educational institutions, and employment agencies.
  • Oversee job advertisements and collaborate with external recruitment agencies.
  • Evaluate candidates by discussing job requirements and qualifications with hiring managers; conduct interviews based on a consistent set of criteria.
  • Enhance the organization's appeal by recommending new policies and practices, monitoring job offers, and emphasizing benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations related to recruitment.
  • Coordinate orientation information for new hires as needed.
  • Assist the HR department with special projects and initiatives.
  • Maintain communication with candidates throughout the pre and post-offer stages to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
  • Manage the general recruitment email inbox and phone inquiries as necessary.
  • Participate in the transition from manual to automated recruitment processes.
  • Develop and maintain recruitment metrics and scorecards.
  • Assist with the recruitment budget and provide reports on the return on investment for recruitment strategies.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS

A. Education
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.
B. Qualifications/Experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in healthcare recruitment, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Kronos ATS is preferred.
C. Special Skills/Knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability in candidate sourcing and relationship management.
  • Strong computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws and best practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and coaching skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Skills in database management and record-keeping.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
