Position Overview

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a dedicated professional to join the Office of the Attorney General as a Senior Legal Administrative Specialist within the Employment Law Unit of the Civil Litigation Division. Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for a variety of essential functions, including:

  • Clerical Support: Provide comprehensive secretarial assistance to multiple attorneys within the Employment Law Unit. Responsibilities include managing and prioritizing tasks, drafting and editing legal documents, and ensuring timely filing of all materials.
  • Paralegal Functions: Organize and maintain electronic files for discovery, liaise with clients and opposing counsel, and prepare trial materials and exhibits.
  • Administrative Duties: Handle travel arrangements, process reimbursement requests, and coordinate scheduling for meetings and depositions.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of three to five years of experience in a legal environment, particularly in employment law.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with exceptional time management abilities.
  • The capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to pass a criminal background check.
