Job Overview:

Role Summary:

Galaxy i Technologies Inc is in search of a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to enhance the automation of our healthcare solutions. The successful candidate will have a passion for developing, maintaining, and executing automated testing frameworks to ensure high-quality deliverables. Collaboration with application stakeholders, developers, and business partners will be essential to review specifications, construct automation frameworks, and implement solutions within an Agile framework.

We are looking for a dedicated professional who can apply a software engineering mindset to our testing methodologies, offering innovative strategies for crafting, developing, and sustaining our testing suites and infrastructure.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Testing/Development with a focus on UI and API Automation
  • Proven experience in creating and managing an automation framework in a large-scale enterprise setting using tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or Protractor
  • Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript with Cucumber/BDD frameworks
  • Ability to excel in an Agile Scrum environment, valuing the contributions of T-shaped team members
  • Capability to investigate, isolate, and resolve technical challenges across the technology stack using both automated and manual testing techniques
  • Demonstrated experience in adhering to best practices for testing Angular/Vue-based user interfaces and RESTful web services
  • Experience in a DevOps culture with CI/CD tools; familiarity with Git/Bitbucket Server (Stash), Jenkins, and uDeploy is advantageous
  • Experience with Code Quality/Coverage Tools (e.g., Sonar or similar)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively across various teams
  • Adept at working in a dynamic, highly matrixed environment to achieve collective objectives
  • A keen interest in learning and exploring innovative technologies
  • Experience in developing and maintaining test plans and test cases based on business requirements
  • Understanding of CI/CD principles using Jenkins and Git, with the ability to recommend effective integration of test automation into pipelines
  • Collaborate with a team of SDETs committed to automation and the creation of reusable components
  • A proactive approach to learning and mastering new technologies
  • Experience with Accessibility testing is a plus
  • Designing and developing a comprehensive suite of automation tests for our digital healthcare solutions
  • Engaging closely with product owners, developers, and business stakeholders
  • Rapid prototyping to quickly validate concepts
  • Writing and adapting source code, as well as testing developed components
  • Ensuring that designs meet performance, security, usability, reliability, and scalability standards
  • Mentoring and supporting junior technical staff
