Position - Mobile Software Quality Engineer

Location - Dallas, Texas

Work Arrangement - Hybrid with 5 days onsite per month

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in developing Native Android applications.
  • Expertise in Test Automation utilizing Kotlin.
  • Familiarity with GraphQL is highly desirable, along with RESTful API knowledge.
  • Understanding of DevOps methodologies.

Key Skills and Experience Required:

  • A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years in Testing/Development roles, with at least 3 years focused on Android Automation using Kotlin/Java, complemented by RESTful web services.
  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, Gradle, and Android Studio within a large-scale enterprise context, ideally as part of a Software Engineering in Test team.
  • Experience in the complete lifecycle and deployment of at least one application on Google Play, utilizing automated tools such as Jenkins, Gradle, and Google Developer APIs.
  • Thorough understanding of testing principles and methodologies to ensure extensive testing coverage.
  • Proficiency in Android test automation frameworks, particularly Espresso and Jetpack Compose.
  • Experience in API testing and automation, with a preference for GraphQL.
  • Solid grasp of Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, isolate, and resolve technical issues across the technology stack using both automated and manual testing techniques.
  • Familiarity with Code Quality/Coverage Tools (e.g., Sonar).
  • Hands-on experience in a DevOps environment, with knowledge of CI/CD tools, Git/Bitbucket Server (Stash), and Jenkins.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing junior technical staff.
  • Knowledge of Agile Scrum methodology is a plus.
