The Test Automation Architect will lead the creation, design, and implementation of scalable test automation frameworks that ensure the quality and functionality of our software applications. The role requires a deep understanding of Selenium WebDriver with Java and API testing methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Enhance Automation Frameworks: Develop and enhance the automation test framework using Selenium WebDriver with Java.
- Design and Develop Automated Tests: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for front-end, backend, and API testing.
- Integration with CI/CD Pipeline: Work closely with development teams to integrate automated testing within the continuous integration and deployment pipeline.
- Define Best Practices: Define best practices for test automation and ensure adherence to these practices within the team.
- Tool Evaluation and Selection: Evaluate and select automation tools and software for testing and ensure they meet the needs of the testing team and product.
- Mentorship and Leadership: Mentor and provide technical leadership to QA engineers in automation techniques and best practices.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and develop effective automation strategies.
- Code Reviews: Perform code reviews of automated tests to ensure robustness and maintainability.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay current with the latest industry developments in test automation and recommend improvements to the testing process.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation issues.
- Test Coverage: Ensure comprehensive test coverage by working closely with the product and engineering teams.
- Reporting: Generate detailed reports on the status of the automated test suite and quality of the product.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in Selenium WebDriver and Java programming.
- API Testing Experience: Strong experience in API testing and automation using tools like Postman, Rest Assured, or similar.
- Test Automation Frameworks: Proficiency in developing and working with test automation frameworks.
- CI/CD Tools: Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
- Software QA Methodologies: Excellent knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Test Planning and Case Writing: Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Analytical and Communication Skills: Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand complex technical systems.
