Role Summary
The Vice President of Strategic Business Growth will report directly to the CEO and will be based at our headquarters. This role is pivotal in expanding our customer base, managing the business development pipeline, increasing the probability of win (PWIN), coordinating growth initiatives with the leadership team, and overseeing the proposal department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct management of corporate business development processes, including initiatives, budgets, staffing, growth targets, and strategic initiatives.
  • Plan, organize, and direct all business development and marketing functions, ensuring collaboration with technical departments.
  • Develop operating budgets and business plans aligned with company objectives.
  • Manage the recruitment, training, motivation, and discipline of assigned personnel.
  • Maintain open communication with customer representatives to foster and expand business opportunities.

Strategic Planning
Prepare a 3-year Strategic Business Plan for CEO approval and develop annual business plans consistent with the overarching strategy. Identify and cultivate new business opportunities in line with the Strategic Business Plan and maintain the company's Opportunity Pipeline Document.

Performance Monitoring
Oversee the S3 Life Cycle Management database and support the preparation of New Business packages for opportunity identification and qualification. Collaborate with the CEO and CFO to review corporate and business unit performance, providing insights for enhancements.

Business Development Leadership
Participate in assessments of business pursuits, capture plans, and proposal development. Interface with leadership across corporate and business units to promote and capture new business opportunities. Provide regular updates to management on business development activities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree with 25 years of relevant experience in federal contract capture management and execution; Master's Degree preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in a quality-controlled environment such as ISO/AS9100.
  • 10 years of experience as a DOD contract capture manager.
  • Proven track record in leading proposal teams and securing federal contracts valued over $100M.
  • Experience in managing high-revenue programs or projects valued at $100M.
  • Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
