Construction Supervisor

Objective:
The Foreman role is crucial for executing strategic oversight, documentation, and direct on-site management of a team engaged in various project phases. The Foreman is tasked with enhancing the productivity and effectiveness of all operations under their leadership. As the primary safety authority on the project site, the Foreman ensures the well-being of their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee safety protocols, scheduling, workforce organization, coordination, supervision, and assist in budget management.
- Guarantee the fair and consistent application of all organizational policies and procedures.
- Manage the construction efforts to ensure adherence to design specifications, budget constraints, and timelines.
- Support the project team in planning, developing, and executing project work plans, documentation, and standards to meet project objectives.
- Provide on-site oversight of the project.
- Directly manage and coordinate the activities of team members involved in construction projects.
- Perform hands-on labor tasks as necessary.
- Identify and communicate any scheduling conflicts, requirements, or deficiencies with other teams and subcontractors to the relevant parties.
- Conduct site inspections to assess sequencing and identify potential hazards or safety issues.
- Understand and convey safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance across all safety aspects, while identifying training needs for crew safety.
- Evaluate the skills and capabilities of project employees and assess the competencies of crew members.
- Recognize and address any issues or conflicts that may arise among team members and provide effective solutions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in supervising construction projects.
- At least 7 years of hands-on experience in construction, with a solid understanding of standard construction specifications, methods, and practices.
- Strong ability to interpret drawings and project specifications, along with experience in scheduling and planning construction activities.
- Familiarity with industry-standard equipment is essential.
- Knowledge of prevailing wage regulations, when applicable.
