The Concrete Supervisor will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely completion of projects by managing the work crew, scheduling tasks, and verifying the availability of necessary equipment and materials. This position involves:

  • Supervising various concrete tasks including footings, walls, slabs, sidewalks, and curbs.
  • Interpreting blueprints and survey stakes to guide the concrete work.
  • Safely operating machinery while being mindful of surrounding personnel and structures.
  • Making informed decisions based on weather and site conditions prior to concrete pouring.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar supervisory role.
  • Ability to understand and implement contract specifications and work plans.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capability to operate both small and large machinery.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
Additional Requirements:
  • Must pass a drug screening.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Responsible for checking deliveries for accuracy.
  • Ability to convey sensitive information tactfully.
  • Encouraging team development and acting as a mentor.
  • Regular communication with the Project Manager.
  • Ensuring adequate manpower is scheduled for the week.
  • Maintaining necessary hand tools for the job.
  • Submitting weekly time sheets for crew members.
  • Ensuring the right materials and equipment are available on-site.
  • Participating in subcontractor meetings as needed.
  • Attending weekly project meetings.
  • Ensuring adherence to job site safety protocols.
  • Accountable for the safety and performance of personnel on-site.
  • Reporting any unsafe conditions or subcontractor activities to the Project Manager.
Job Type:

Full-time

Expected Hours:

40 – 50 hours per week
