The Foreman role entails overseeing strategic planning, documentation, and direct supervision of a construction crew engaged in various project phases. This position is pivotal in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of operations under their leadership. The Foreman acts as the primary safety officer for the project site, ensuring the well-being of the crew.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage safety protocols, scheduling, workforce allocation, coordination, supervision, and cost management.
  • Uphold the consistent application of company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications, budget constraints, and timelines.
  • Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement work plans, procedures, and standards to meet project objectives.
  • Provide on-site oversight of construction projects.
  • Directly manage and coordinate the efforts of team members involved in construction tasks.
  • Perform necessary labor duties as required.
  • Identify and communicate any scheduling conflicts or deficiencies with other teams and subcontractors.
  • Conduct site inspections to assess sequencing and identify potential hazards or safety issues.
  • Communicate safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance and identify training needs for crew safety.
  • Evaluate the skills and capabilities of project employees and crew members.
  • Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise among crew members.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in supervising construction projects.
  • At least 7 years of hands-on experience in construction, with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices.
  • Proficient in interpreting project drawings and specifications, as well as planning and scheduling construction activities.
  • Familiarity with standard construction equipment is essential.
  • Knowledge of prevailing wage regulations, where applicable.
