Position Overview

We invite you to become a part of our dynamic research team.

The Postdoctoral Scientist will engage in both routine and advanced laboratory techniques while collaborating closely with the Principal Investigator and fellow Research Scientists. This role involves the development, adaptation, and implementation of innovative research methodologies and protocols. The Postdoctoral Scientist will also analyze and interpret research data and may contribute to the drafting of grant proposals. Participation in scholarly publications and presentations as an author or co-author is expected, although the role does not include the responsibility of securing grant funding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the drafting of grant proposals without the obligation to secure funding.
  • Contribute to publications and presentations as an author or co-author.
  • Design and execute experiments, maintaining thorough experimental records and collaborating with the Principal Investigator to analyze results.
  • Develop, adapt, and implement new research techniques and protocols.
  • Analyze, interpret, summarize, and compile research data.
  • Conduct both routine and complex laboratory procedures throughout the training period.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
  • Observe interactions between medical professionals and research subjects as relevant to the research conducted.

Qualifications

Educational Background:

  • A Doctorate (MD, PhD, VMD, or DDS) in a field directly related to the area of research specialization is required.

Experience and Skills:

  • Acquires comprehensive technical and theoretical knowledge of the research project and objectives during a one to five (1-5) year post-doctoral appointment.
  • Independently conducts research projects designed by a mentor, typically the Principal Investigator, within the area of specialization.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute experimental protocols and procedures, including detailed data collection and analysis, as well as the operation and maintenance of specialized equipment.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and the maintenance of specialized equipment.
