Position Overview

Salary Range: The compensation for this role is between $129,800 and $342,900, which includes participation in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan.

Position Description: The University of California, Davis, is seeking a full-time faculty member at the Assistant, Associate, or Full rank within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. This role is focused on serving as the Training Director for the Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology (CCAP) Training Programs, which include an APA-accredited doctoral internship and an APPIC-member postdoctoral fellowship. The successful candidate will also provide clinical supervision and direct patient care at the Child Behavioral Health Clinic (CBHC).

Responsibilities include:

  • Administrative oversight of training programs.
  • Direct clinical care at the CBHC.
  • Supervision and teaching of psychiatry and psychology trainees.
  • Opportunities to develop new clinical programs.
  • Engagement in scholarly activities related to clinical teaching and service.

The incumbent will be involved in teaching and supervising medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as participating in professional societies and departmental committees. A collaborative approach in a diverse environment is essential.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications: Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and possess specialized training in assessing and treating children and adolescents with various mental health issues. A minimum of two years of experience in an outpatient academic medical center and experience in training and supervising clinical psychology interns and postdoctoral fellows is required.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with evidence-based treatments for common conditions affecting children and adolescents is preferred. A focus on health equity for diverse populations is also desirable.
