Compensation Range:
The compensation for this role is between $150,000 and $275,000. This position is part of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, which allows for the possibility of additional earnings. Position Description

The Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis is seeking to appoint up to two tenured faculty members at the associate or full professor level. We welcome applications from researchers whose work aligns with the following areas of focus:

Enhancing healthy aging and family caregiving through innovative technology, including personalized digital health solutions, smart home applications, and community-based technological interventions.

* Research in digital health equity and social justice aimed at improving access to technology and health promotion initiatives for diverse older adults and their caregivers.

* Development of healthy systems and enabling technologies, emphasizing human-centered design and community involvement among older populations.

* Expertise in methodologies for the development and co-validation of digital health tools, data management techniques, predictive analytics, and/or artificial intelligence to improve care quality for older adults and their caregivers.

* Research experience relevant to the Age-Friendly Health Systems initiative, focusing on shared decision-making, medication adherence, mobility, and cognitive health. Previous involvement in grant-funded projects within an academic health system, collaborating with clinical scientists specializing in geriatrics, family nursing, psychology, psychiatry, neurology, and remote healthcare delivery.

The campus also features the award-winning Betty Irene Moore Hall, an education center and library, the Telemedicine Resource Center, and numerous clinical, educational, and research centers.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

A PhD or equivalent doctorate, along with teaching, mentoring, and research experience, is required at the time of application. A degree in nursing or nursing science is essential.

Additional Qualifications:

  1. A proven track record of multidisciplinary collaboration with engineering and social science faculty, IT research professionals, and technology industry partners.
  2. Demonstrated leadership in research teams, collaboration, mentorship, and interdisciplinary work.
  3. Evidence of prior extramural funding in relevant research areas.
  4. A strong commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion for historically underrepresented communities, integrated into teaching, research, and service.
  5. Excellence in teaching, with evidence of ability to develop graduate-level nursing courses and mentor doctoral students.
  6. Active participation and leadership in service at university, local, state, and national levels.

This full-time appointment will be at the rank of associate or full professor, with expectations for participation in school, college, and university service.
