Position Description:
The Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis is seeking to appoint up to two tenured faculty members at the rank of associate or full professor. We welcome applications from scholars whose research aligns with the following key areas:
  • Enhancing healthy aging and family caregiving through innovative technology, including personalized digital health solutions and community-level interventions.
  • Research focused on digital health equity and social justice, aimed at improving access to technology and health promotion initiatives for diverse older adults and their caregivers.
  • Development of healthy systems and enabling technologies, emphasizing human-centered design and community engagement among older populations.
  • Expertise in methodologies for the development and co-validation of digital health devices, data management techniques, predictive analytics, and artificial intelligence to improve care quality for older adults and their caregivers.
  • Research experience that aligns with the Age-Friendly Health Systems initiative, covering areas such as shared decision-making, medication adherence, mobility, and cognitive health.
  • Successful candidates may also have the opportunity to design or teach courses within the school's academic or certificate programs.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
A PhD or equivalent doctoral degree along with teaching, mentoring, and research experience is required at the time of application. A degree in nursing or nursing science is essential.

Additional Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in multidisciplinary collaboration, leadership in research teams, and a commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion are expected. Evidence of successful funding in relevant research areas is also required.

This full-time appointment will be at the rank of associate or full professor, with expectations for participation in university service as part of the faculty governance model.
