Job Title: Patient Care Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at Kinwell Medical Group. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting our clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients and visitors, and direct them to the appropriate area.
  • Schedule new patient and follow-up appointments, and obtain insurance authorization as needed.
  • Collect and process copays, and assist patients with the check-in process.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, and respond to patient inquiries and requests.
  • Communicate patient status and requests to clinical staff, physicians, and center manager to ensure seamless operation of the center.
  • Manage the center and clinician schedules to maximize efficiency.
  • Assist with referrals for assigned centers and up to two additional centers managing remotely.
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines and safety rules as outlined in training.
  • Attend and participate in team huddles, center staff meetings, and ongoing trainings.
Requirements:
  • H.S. Diploma or GED.
  • Associate degree and 3 years or 5 years of prior medical practice experience.
  • Experience in a customer service environment.
  • Demonstrated intermediate knowledge of PC's, word processing, data entry, and EMRs.
  • Current BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN). (Preferred)
  • Excellent critical thinking, flexibility, problem-solving, and communication skills (verbal and written). (Preferred)
  • An interest in growing and developing skills and knowledge to take on larger tasks or roles. (Preferred)
  • Experience using EPIC. (Preferred)
Working Environment:

This is a sedentary role that requires the ability to exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

This role requires the ability to keyboard and to communicate clearly and understandably in person, and over the telephone.

The pay for this role will vary based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's geographic location, market conditions, and specific skills and experience.

National Plus Salary Range: $45,000.00 - $67,500.00
