Key Responsibilities:
- Execute general accounting and administrative tasks to fulfill contractual obligations related to operational and basic accounting.
- Ensure all financial transactions are processed promptly and accurately.
- Engage in monthly forecasting review sessions.
- Provide project teams with on-demand reports and analyses as required.
- Assist in gathering information for both internal and external financial reporting needs.
- Compile client billing packages in accordance with contract stipulations, ensuring timely payments.
- Prepare bank deposits, conduct monthly reconciliations, and manage cash receipt entries.
- Identify any discrepancies or risk factors and contribute to developing strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure all necessary documentation, including insurance, bonding, statutory declarations, and lien waivers, is properly maintained.
- Interpret trade partner documentation concerning accounting matters and adhere to established accounting protocols.

Qualifications:
- A postsecondary degree or diploma in a relevant field.
- Active pursuit of an accounting designation is advantageous.
- A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in the construction sector or a related field is preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of full-cycle accounting, project forecasting, and budgeting.
- Familiarity with government regulations and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Intermediate knowledge of lien rights.
- Basic exposure to bid and contract securities and insurance as they pertain to risk management, claims management, pricing, and accounting.
- Understanding of subcontract purchase order terms, including insurance and subcontractor default insurance (SDI) and bonding requirements.
- Awareness of owner contracts regarding payment terms, billing requirements, audit rights, and cost-of-work definitions.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experienced with accounting software.
