Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated individual to become a part of our shared services division as a Finance Specialist. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive team-oriented attitude, exceptional attention to detail, and the capability to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage various accounting functions including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Credit Card transactions, and Intercompany Billing.
  • Assist in the monthly financial closing processes and contribute to the preparation of financial statements.
  • Support both month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Review and dispatch customer invoices.
  • Document business procedures and accounting policies to enhance internal controls.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects such as audits and tax-related tasks as assigned.
  • Address vendor inquiries and resolve issues related to accounts.
  • Prepare vendor 1099 forms at year-end and maintain accurate vendor totals.
  • Record all checks and receipts for deposits and distribute as necessary.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.
  • Assist business unit customers and vendors throughout the procure-to-pay process.
  • Reconcile daily credit card transactions to ensure proper documentation.
  • Monitor customer collections and follow up as required.
  • Assist with quarterly distributions to investors.
  • Collaborate with the Shared Services manager on corporate credit card administration.
  • Perform additional duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices.
  • Capable of handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and open to new challenges.
  • Effective time management and task prioritization skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a high-volume, fast-paced setting with a focus on accuracy and customer service.
