About the Role

The Senior Product Marketing Manager will play a crucial role in building a go-to-market engine that drives growth across dozens of product SKUs, sales segments, buyer personas, and countries. This individual will orchestrate the product marketing of Rippling's IT business, gathering and analyzing market intelligence to ensure effective storytelling in the right channels, supporting the sales team in winning.

This is a highly cross-functional role, requiring close collaboration with Rippling's Sales teams, Marketing machine, and product organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong GM mindset, be a compelling storyteller, and obsess about customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new IT product launches.
  2. Define and refine product marketing fundamentals, including messaging, positioning, personas, and more.
  3. Conduct customer research and synthesize insights about products, target audiences, personas, and differentiation vs competitors.
  4. Partner with the Product organization to define the product roadmap.
  5. Create an ongoing feedback loop between sales, product, and marketing.
  6. Develop sales tools and collateral to support the sales team in winning.
  7. Represent Rippling as a spokesperson, evangelist, expert, and thought leader with analysts, customers, and partners.
  8. Approach business growth with a general manager mindset, focusing on awareness, attach rate, win rate, adoption, and customer retention.
Requirements
  1. 5+ years of experience in product marketing, technical product marketing, consulting, business operations, or general management, with 2+ years in marketing highly preferred.
  2. Experience in SaaS tech businesses, preferably in the IT technology/security space.
  3. Proven ability to translate customer and market insights into crisp GTM fundamentals, including segmentation, buyer personas, messaging, competitive positioning, pricing recommendations, and more.
  4. Strong product knowledge and ability to collaborate with product managers and engineers.
  5. Resourcefulness, bias towards action, and ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Results-oriented and evidence-driven, with a focus on influencing, collaborating, and project managing.
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly tell a story without resorting to jargon.
  8. Quick learner, able to pick up context rapidly and adapt to new challenges.
  9. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to decompose complex problems, identify patterns from noise, develop action plans, and effectively communicate insights.
  10. A creative spark, with the ability to think outside the box.

This role will receive a competitive salary, benefits, and equity. The salary range for US-based employees will be aligned with one of the following tiers, based on location: $120,000 - $210,000 USD per year (US Tier 1), $108,000 - $189,000 USD per year (US Tier 2), or $102,000 - $178,500 USD per year (US Tier 3).
