Job Summary:

The HR Business Partner role is a critical position that aligns business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. This position requires a strong understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and administrative practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct weekly meetings with business unit leaders to discuss strategic goals and objectives.
  • Provide HR guidance to line management and analyze trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, including investigations and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Provide performance management guidance to line management, including coaching, counseling, and career development.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation, and work with business unit leaders to facilitate the new hire onboarding process.
  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence to evaluate and monitor training programs and ensure success.
  • Plan and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy, particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and administrative practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of human resource management experience with a mix of human resource disciplines preferred.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) preferred.
  • Multi-state HR support experience preferred.
