Position Summary

The Clinical Operations Executive (COE) collaborates closely with senior nursing leadership to deliver vital management support across various nursing divisions. The COE is tasked with strategizing, overseeing, and coordinating everyday operations, which encompass staffing distribution, bed utilization, and patient flow management.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Compliance Oversight: Guarantee compliance with all pertinent regulatory entities, including but not limited to the Joint Commission, CMS, and local and national agencies.
  • Performance Monitoring: Supervise hospital performance metrics and departmental productivity, leveraging data analytics to enhance operations and ensure peak performance.
  • Quality Improvement: Spearhead and engage in initiatives aimed at process enhancement, quality assurance, patient care advancements, and corporate objectives as assigned.
  • Systems Management: Serve as the systems administrator for the nursing department, overseeing platforms such as Scheduling Excellence, PLUS, and clinical performance dashboards.
  • Data Interpretation: Utilize innovative approaches and system expertise to gather, evaluate, and present data that supports informed decision-making.
  • Nursing Vision Advocacy: Uphold the nursing vision, philosophy, and mission through professional conduct, effective communication, and active presence.
  • Resource Allocation: Aid in identifying, justifying, and procuring essential resources (staff, supplies, equipment) for the nursing division.
  • Patient-Centric Environment: Exemplify leadership to cultivate a patient-focused culture and an atmosphere that promotes high employee engagement.
  • Collaboration Development: Proactively establish partnerships with staff, clients, and physicians through effective communication, follow-through, and data accessibility. Participate in service line growth and capital initiatives as directed.
  • Operational Support: Enhance clinical practices and operational effectiveness through leadership, optimal systems use, and team collaboration.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Licensure: A valid Florida RN license is required or an appropriate compact license. If a compact license is held, an active Florida RN license must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • Certifications: Preferred specialty certification in Executive Nursing Practice and/or Healthcare Administration. Membership with the American Organization of Nurse Executives is also preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in a healthcare environment, with at least the last 3 years in a direct leadership capacity within a hospital setting. A proven history in project management, productivity oversight, and resource management is essential.
  • Education: An Associate's Degree is required; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
