Job Overview

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in clinical evaluations and will be ready to contribute effectively within a collaborative study team environment.

This position offers a remarkable opportunity to engage with a dynamic group at a highly regarded clinical research facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate actively in the screening processes of research participants to assess their suitability for clinical trials.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of intricate study protocols, including eligibility criteria, investigator documentation, study timelines, and overall protocol requirements.
  • Execute study procedures, document source information in the participant's medical records, analyze laboratory results, and sustain continuous communication with Principal Investigators, Sub-investigators, research participants, study personnel, monitors, and management.
  • Conduct clinical trial evaluations, including vital signs, phlebotomy, IV placement, and administration of investigational medications.
  • Perform additional related tasks as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication abilities, encompassing verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving; initiative is crucial.
  • Ability to maintain composure when interacting with patients, physicians, and fellow research professionals.
  • Exceptional teamwork skills and the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Capability to operate independently in a technology-driven clinical research environment.
  • Proficient in self-monitoring collected data and rectifying errors in accordance with Good Documentation Practices.

Required Experience:

  • Current, valid RN license.
  • Understanding of nursing competencies relevant to practice scope (e.g., performing vital signs, nursing assessments, ECG/EKG administration, etc.).
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, drug calculation, and clinical medicine.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of recent clinical nursing experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Preferred: At least two (2) years of experience in sponsored clinical research.
  • Valid driver's license and personal vehicle for work-related transportation.
  • Minimum educational requirement: diploma from an accredited nursing program.
