SUMMARY:

This position is a senior-level sales role focused on identifying and securing new clientele while enhancing relationships with current accounts for significant municipal and industrial initiatives. The individual will act as a Key Account Manager, tasked with driving profitable business by building trust and rapport within a designated client portfolio.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
  • Deliver exceptional service and reliability to foster customer retention and expansion.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the industrial sector in the assigned region.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for clients regarding wastewater compliance, utilizing consultative selling methods to educate them about our services and provide valuable insights.
  • Manage client relationships throughout project lifecycles, ensuring effective communication between clients and internal teams.
  • Conduct research to pinpoint potential business lines and identify ideal customers.
  • Formulate and execute strategic sales initiatives for Industrial/Manufacturing sectors and local municipalities to aid the company in achieving sustainable revenue growth (e.g., comprehensive revenue potential assessments, analysis of decision-making processes, and weekly activity plans for each account).
  • Maintain an up-to-date CRM sales pipeline by logging all customer interactions, quotes, and successful projects in SalesForce.
  • Effectively propose, negotiate, and finalize profitable opportunities at both existing and new client locations by leveraging established relationships with senior environmental and operations leaders.
  • Assess customer requirements, comprehend market dynamics, and ensure suitable service delivery and pricing.
  • Analyze account profitability, value, and potential to devise strategies for maximizing profit and enhancing market presence.
  • Prepare bids and oversee projects, equipment, labor, subcontractors, and other resources for clients.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Proven experience in sales within industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Background in selling to municipal wastewater facilities.
  • Familiarity with securing bids in municipal accounts.
  • Experience in wastewater treatment and management.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally to assess pricing, profitability, and resource requirements for projects.
  • Skilled in managing large, complex projects.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Resilience and adaptability to navigate customer adjustments and unforeseen challenges.
  • Ability to establish credibility and cultivate relationships.
  • Experience utilizing a CRM system.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in wastewater industrial knowledge preferred.
  • Experience in industrial/commercial B-to-B sales preferred.
  • Proactive sales approach.
  • Willingness to travel locally within the designated territory - up to 75%.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong background in account management.
