iWorld Professionals is currently seeking a Construction Estimator for a reputable construction firm based in New York. This role is integral to the pre-construction team and focuses on providing critical insights for various construction projects.

Position Overview:

The Construction Estimator will play a vital role in advising on project budgets, timelines, and tasks. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with exceptional organizational capabilities and the ability to perform under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough project analysis by examining documentation to accurately define project requirements and develop detailed budgets.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, developers, and trade partners to ensure that design progress aligns with budgetary constraints and project scopes, providing necessary feedback to stakeholders.
  • Execute complex data analyses to support informed project decisions.
  • Work alongside project management and pre-construction teams to facilitate the timely engagement of subcontractors and vendors that meet project criteria.
  • Maintain a current database of industry cost data to generate reliable financial forecasts.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports to senior management, highlighting key project metrics.
  • Utilize extensive knowledge of project management systems, including scheduling, estimating, cost control, procurement, and business development.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of the construction sector and operational practices.
  • High-level interpersonal skills to navigate sensitive situations with professionalism and tact.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively presenting numerical data and interpreting written information.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is highly preferred, or equivalent experience with a minimum of 3 years in construction and/or estimating.
  • Willingness to work on-site as required.

Position Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
