About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Professional to join our team at Melissa. As an Accounting Professional, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including accounts payable processing, accounts receivable payment processing, and managing accounting files.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounts Payable Processing: Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable, including vendor invoices and payments.
  • Accounts Receivable Payment Processing: Process and reconcile accounts receivable, including customer payments and credits.
  • Accounting File Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting files, including financial statements and reports.
  • Correspondence with Vendors, Customers, and Employees: Respond to vendor, customer, and employee inquiries and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assistance with Weekly Cash-Flow Reports: Assist with the preparation and review of weekly cash-flow reports to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
  • Assistance with Month-End Procedures and Reports: Assist with the preparation and review of month-end financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Reconciliation and Reporting Activities of Foreign Entities: Reconcile and report on financial activities of foreign entities, including foreign currency transactions and exchange rates.
  • Sales Tax Reports: Prepare and submit sales tax reports to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Year-End Reports: Assist with the preparation and review of year-end financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
Requirements
  • Accounting Degree or Equivalent Experience: A degree in accounting or equivalent experience is required.
  • Solid Understanding of Accounting Concepts and Application: A solid understanding of accounting concepts and application is required.
  • Desire to Learn and Grow: A desire to learn and grow in your job and career is essential.
  • Collaborative Work Environment: Ability to work collaboratively with team members to achieve common goals.
  • Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Excel: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required.
