Position Overview:
We are seeking to fill two (2) full-time positions for the role of Relationship Banking Specialist II at Bank of Southern CA.
Role Summary:
Deliver an exceptional customer experience to all clients visiting the branch, assisting them with their account management and transactional requirements. Actively promote and cross-sell banking products and services while providing support to fellow team members in various tasks as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities to promote and cross-sell banking products and services.
- Ensure an outstanding customer experience for all branch visitors.
- Address customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and efficiency, resolving issues at the branch level whenever possible.
- Perform essential transactions to meet customer needs, including account servicing and teller functions:
- Processing client transactions
- Managing debit card requests and services
- Setting up and servicing online banking (as applicable)
- Ordering printed checks
- Handling branch cash orders and shipments (as applicable)
- Conducting branch certifications (as assigned)
- Processing stop payments
- Managing holds
- Handling Reg. E claims
- Opening, closing, and servicing safe deposit boxes (as assigned)
- Exhibit a thorough understanding of compliance regulations related to account servicing, ensuring proper account titling and ownership to mitigate risks:
- Bank Secrecy Act
- Customer Information Program
- Beneficial Ownership
- Office of Foreign Asset Control
- Trust Account documentation
- Fiduciary Account documentation
- Participate in ongoing training and achieve satisfactory ratings on all compliance audits.
- Adhere to reporting and recordkeeping requirements as outlined by the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering laws, OFAC, and CIP regulations.
- Follow all policies and procedures related to regulatory compliance.
- Independently handle complex or non-routine operational issues, recognizing when to seek management support.
- Ensure the branch operates safely and effectively.
- Maintain reliable and regular attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Effective time management and organizational capabilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to follow-through.

- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Preferred: Six months of experience in branch banking.
- Required: Minimum six months of cash handling experience.
- Standard office environment with moderate noise levels.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.
- Occasional movement within the office to access files and equipment.
- Occasional lifting of objects up to 25 pounds.
- Consistent use of office machinery, including computers and printers.
- Frequent communication with employees, clients, and vendors.
