Overview
The Retail Operations Supervisor Trainee (ROST) position is designed for individuals seeking to advance rapidly into a supervisory role within the retail sector.

The ROST will collaborate closely with the District Manager and Store Manager to gain comprehensive insights into the rent-to-own industry, while engaging in various store operations including customer engagement, account oversight, revenue enhancement, customer base expansion, and inventory management.

The ROST will learn from seasoned colleagues to understand operational methods, procedures, and standards, becoming acquainted with the functions of store and Field Support Center personnel.

All tasks and responsibilities must align with the mission statement and core values of Eclipserto.

The Retail Operations Supervisor Trainee will:

Sales and Account Oversight:

Establish daily and weekly objectives for the store's sales initiatives, supervise team members' sales efforts, authorize rental agreements, and track performance metrics for sales in terms of revenue and growth.

Set daily and weekly targets for the store's collection efforts, manage team members' collection activities, address challenging accounts requiring intervention, approve customer commitments, and ensure compliance with established collection procedures.


Leadership and Management:

Monitor and achieve profit targets for the store by effectively managing resources (controlling store expenses).

Organize and schedule daily activities and objectives for all team members, providing guidance and adjustments as necessary to keep the team on track.

Oversee staffing processes for the store, including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring, ensuring adherence to company policies and legal standards, while supporting diversity in the workforce.

Enhance coworker retention and minimize turnover by fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Support the implementation of company programs, policies, and processes.
Train and guide team members to ensure exceptional customer service, providing coaching to enhance their sales and account management skills. Resolve issues and complaints promptly to maintain a high level of service. Monitor store operations to guarantee a customer-friendly experience.
Safeguard company assets through effective expense management, inventory oversight, product ordering, pricing strategies, cash handling, and store security.
Provide leadership to ensure that the store's merchandising, cleanliness, and overall presentation meet the highest standards for customer appeal.

Required Qualifications
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in retail or management
  • Completion of Eclipserto's Store Manager Development Program
  • Proven ability to perform essential job functions at the Assistant Manager level
  • Proficiency in retail operational software
  • Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this position, the team member is regularly required to communicate effectively. This role is highly active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day. The team member must frequently lift and/or move heavy items and merchandise.

Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


Work Schedule

This is a full-time position, with workdays typically scheduled from Monday to Saturday, during store operating hours. This role may require extended hours and frequent weekend work, with schedules subject to change based on management and business needs.
