Culinary Operations Supervisor - Full-Time

Job Summary: The Culinary Operations Supervisor is responsible for effectively managing and overseeing the functions of all culinary department staff to meet the established sales and profitability objectives. This role ensures that the operational shifts of all team members align with the financial goals of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Duties:

  • Maintain a professional appearance and enforce grooming standards across the department.
  • Ensure compliance with all health regulations and local laws regarding food safety and labeling.
  • Oversee the receiving of products, ensuring accuracy and quality control.
  • Manage department expenses and inventory to maximize profitability.
  • Implement merchandising standards and maintain inventory levels to optimize sales.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a welcoming environment for all patrons.
  • Schedule staff effectively to enhance customer experience while adhering to budgetary constraints.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Train and develop team members in operational procedures and customer service excellence.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and fair treatment.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and set clear expectations for staff.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Maintain a safe and accident-free work environment.
  • Ensure that all safety equipment is available and utilized properly.
  • Adhere to all company policies regarding food handling and safety.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; some college education preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a culinary environment or a related field.
  • Food Handler Certification and relevant safety training are required.

Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Proficient in understanding and following written instructions and procedures.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed.
  • Must have the mobility to respond quickly to emergencies and perform cleaning duties.
