Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative I to join our team at City of Hope. As a key member of our patient access team, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless patient registration and scheduling processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Register and pre-register patients, verifying demographic and insurance information to ensure accurate billing and payment.
  • Schedule appointments across multiple hospital departments, utilizing telecommunications and computer information systems to create accounts and verify information.
  • Collect co-pays, schedule and re-schedule complex appointments, and serve as an information resource for patients and providers.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, greeting patients and visitors, and serving as a liaison between patients and support staff.
  • Maintain accurate records, ensuring data is entered correctly for patient demographic and insurance information.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of experience in a high-volume customer service role with direct interaction with customers.
  • EPIC electronic medical record experience preferred.
