Senior Access Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Senior Access Representative to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service and support to individuals seeking medical services at our medical center.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality customer service to patients and families, addressing their concerns and needs in a timely and professional manner.
- Serve as a preceptor for new staff members, sharing your knowledge and expertise to ensure a smooth transition.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Minimum 6 months of experience working in a call center setting, plus 12 months of experience working in a healthcare setting or 12 months of experience working in a call center in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and insurance programs.
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload and establish effective working relationships across the Health System.
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms.
- Demonstrated experience working with patient registration software systems.
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish and/or Vietnamese.
- Background Check and Live Scan.
- Legal Right to Work in the United States.
- Vaccination Policies.
- Smoking and Tobacco Policy.
- Drug-Free Environment.
