Compensation and Benefits:

Union Benefits and $21.79/hr

Work Schedule: 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM

Role Responsibilities

The Dock/Yard Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility and service functions. Acting as representatives of Paraco, our dock/yard staff deliver exceptional customer service while assisting with propane filling and sales, all while equipping our drivers with the necessary tools and supplies to serve our clients effectively. As a vital member of the Paraco team, you will contribute positively to the customer experience. Reporting directly to the Plant Supervisor, you will be an essential part of the Gas Production Line Grill Cylinder Dock team.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Maintaining facility cleanliness and organization.
  • Managing tank and cylinder operations, including:
    • Unloading tanks and cylinders.
    • Evacuating and organizing tanks and cylinders.
    • Refilling tanks and cylinders.
    • Loading tanks onto trucks or refilling BBQ tanks for walk-in customers, along with providing safe-use instructions.
  • Calibrating scales on a daily basis.
  • Conducting daily inspections of the plant.
  • Filling motor fuel as required.
  • Performing additional dock-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Minimum of 2 years of forklift experience.
  • Exceptional organizational and cleaning abilities.
  • Ability to listen, read, and follow instructions for safe and efficient task execution.
  • Strong focus on tasks, ensuring attention to detail and safety awareness.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for interaction with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather and driving conditions.
  • Capability to routinely handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting/moving of items up to 75 pounds.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused, enthusiastic, and motivated attitude.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
