Job Overview

The RF Calibration Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of RF and electrical measurement instruments. This position involves both in-house and fieldwork, focusing on the calibration and certification of various RF test equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct calibration and certification of RF test and measurement devices using advanced automated calibration systems.
  • Engage directly with clients to provide support and ensure satisfaction with our services.
  • Adhere to established protocols while performing on-site or in-house repairs and calibrations to maintain high performance standards.
  • Diagnose equipment issues and execute necessary repairs.
  • Represent Trescal in a customer-facing role, ensuring a positive experience for all clients.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Military training or experience in PMEL, TMDE, or Electronics, or an Associate's Degree in Electronics or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in calibration.
  • Proficient in calibrating various types of test and measurement equipment, including:
  • Electronic devices
  • RF and Microwave systems
  • Temperature measurement tools
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), internet research, and data entry.
  • Experience in providing courteous and professional customer service.
  • Preferred qualifications include:
  • Familiarity with ANSI/NCSL Z-540-1, ISO 9000, and ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
  • Experience with calibration lab software such as LabView, SureCal, or Met/Cal.
