Senior Auditor - Construction Sector

Key Responsibilities:
  • Acting as the primary auditor for various engagements, focusing on construction firms from a compilation and review standpoint, alongside associated tax preparation and additional services for this sector.
  • Coordinating and scheduling audit engagements in a timely and organized manner.
  • Overseeing junior staff members throughout nearly all audit processes.
  • Managing all stages of audits, from initial planning to final reporting, ensuring documentation meets firm standards, SSARS, and industry best practices.
  • Drafting financial statements and various financial reports for nearly all engagements undertaken.
  • Timely addressing and resolving review comments on work completed, including those related to financial statements, tax filings, and other financial documents, as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • A Master's degree in Accounting or a minimum of 150 credit hours in accounting from an accredited institution is mandatory.
  • 3-5 years of auditing experience in public accounting, ideally with a focus on the construction sector.
  • Eligibility to take the CPA examination is required; CPA certification is preferred.
  • Practical knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, and SSARS is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word is necessary.
  • Familiarity with ProSystem fx Engagement and CCH Tax/Axcess is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and research skills are required.
