Job Overview

VLASIC LABS LLC is looking for a dedicated Social Media and Marketing Specialist to enhance our digital presence. In this role, you will be responsible for generating engaging content across various social media platforms and retail channels, managing ongoing promotional initiatives, and ensuring our online presence remains robust. Given the unique nature of the cannabis industry, it is crucial to stay informed about relevant regulations and adhere to compliance standards consistently. You will also oversee the interaction in the comments section of our posts, ensuring that all communications align with our brand message while keeping abreast of the latest trends in social media.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and produce content for diverse social media platforms in multiple formats.
  • Create and refine marketing materials for retail channels in alignment with the social media calendar.
  • Ensure all social media channels comply with cannabis industry regulations by staying updated on current laws.
  • Monitor and engage with social media interactions across all platforms.
  • Collaborate with the social media team to maintain brand consistency and voice across all channels.
  • Stay informed about social media trends and implement them into ongoing marketing strategies.
  • Maintain a dynamic social media calendar, planning at least one month in advance.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure brand coherence.
  • Generate reports to track the effectiveness and results of social media campaigns.
  • Coordinate lifestyle and product photoshoots with local creatives.
  • Source local artists to assist in creating unique marketing materials.
  • Design promotional assets including menus, posters, and in-store materials.
  • Manage sourcing of marketing materials while fostering strong vendor relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient understanding of major social media platforms and current trends.
  • Familiarity with software tools such as Microsoft Office, photo, and video editing applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong design skills with the ability to make quick edits.
  • Experience collaborating with artists, designers, and photographers.
  • General knowledge of the cannabis sector and insights into effective branding strategies.
  • Experience navigating social media regulations specific to cannabis and CBD.
  • A genuine passion for cannabis and/or CBD, aligning with our company values.
