POSITION OVERVIEW

The Donor Relations Coordinator plays a crucial role in the planning, communication, and administration of donor benefits for both individual and institutional partners. This position also provides essential research assistance and administrative support throughout the Development Department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Donor Benefits & Stewardship

  • Assist the Special Events Manager and Director of Development in managing various donor benefit events, including:
  • Membership & MOB Studio Rehearsals
  • Reverence Society Luncheon
  • Nutcracker Insider's Tour
  • Coffee with the Conductor
  • Scholarship Tea
  • Other ad hoc events as required
  • Draft communications for donors, such as invitations, benefit summaries, and follow-up messages.
  • Coordinate donor/sponsor recognition for individual, corporate, foundation, and government contributors:

Recognition may include, but is not limited to: interior display screens and signage, print materials, publications, and website listings.

Oversee Development pages in performance programs.

  • Maintain a comprehensive sponsorship recognition document.
  • Collaborate with the Institutional Giving Manager to administer and track benefits for foundation, corporate, and government partners.
  • Support the execution of major special events, including the Opening Gala, Spotlight Luncheon, and Spring Spark.
  • Assist in planning donor lounge menus, budgeting, and tracking expenses.
  • Prepare necessary materials for donor lounge access, including lists and volunteer sign-ups.
  • Manage volunteers for special events and donor lounges to ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Staff donor lounges and assist at special events as needed.

Research & Development Operations

  • Identify new funding sources from institutional giving partners.
  • Collaborate with the department to enhance the current Development website.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant non-profit experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office; experience with Tessitura or similar CRM software is advantageous.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse staff and volunteers on various projects.
  • Strong customer service orientation and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Professional demeanor with the capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proactive approach to managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • A passion for dance and the performing arts is preferred.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as necessary.

COMPENSATION: $26.25/hour; Hourly, Non-Exempt

BENEFITS: This is a full-time position eligible for benefits.
