Job Overview:

As a key member of Computech Corporation, you will oversee and direct the comprehensive management of construction projects. Your role will encompass the following responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the complete project timeline and financial plan, ensuring accurate management reporting across various initiatives.
  2. Compile and present project status updates that reflect progress on timelines, budgets, safety protocols, and any outstanding issues.
  3. Assess contractor performance regarding financial and schedule adherence, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  4. Develop detailed documentation outlining user requirements for facility-related project tasks.
  5. Create comprehensive scopes of work for the acquisition of architectural, engineering, and construction services.
  6. Supervise Project Engineers in the evaluation of specifications, utility standards, drawing assessments, and client coordination.
  7. Facilitate and coordinate site visits by architects and engineers, addressing contractor inquiries effectively.
  8. Oversee the receipt and evaluation of shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  9. Participate in on-site meetings with contractors and consultants to monitor the progress of construction activities.
  10. Conduct preliminary reviews of vendor and contractor payment requests, ensuring that actual project advancements align with the approved financial framework.
  11. Analyze, negotiate, and provide recommendations concerning proposed changes and adjustments to project directives.
  12. Manage the contractor's Quality Control program, ensuring that all quality procedures comply with established plans.

Essential Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience in project management within a construction or engineering firm.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing multiple construction projects concurrently.
  3. Experience with individual project budgets of $1 million or more.
  4. Strong technical knowledge of design and construction engineering, along with schedule management expertise.
  5. Demonstrated experience in leading teams of project engineers, construction coordinators, and safety personnel.
  6. Background in the construction of light industrial facilities, warehouses, or office environments.
  7. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project).

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. In-depth understanding of project scheduling and cost estimation.
  2. General knowledge of construction safety regulations and programs.
  3. Familiarity with software tools such as AutoCAD, Blue Beam, Microsoft Visio, and PlanGrid.
